A safe deposit box is an individually locked container inside the bank’s vault, in a range of sizes, for valuables that need protection from theft, fire, flood, or tampering.
Contents are not deposits and are not insured by this bank or by the FDIC. Coverage for box contents is available through your own insurance agent.
Security
Boxes live in the most secure area of the bank, behind strict identification procedures. Two keys are required to open any box.
Disaster protection
If your home is damaged, what is in your box is not: originals stay safe in the vault.
Estate handling
After you pass away, your executor gains the legal right to access the box. Important documents in one place make your wishes easier to carry out.
What belongs in one
Original insurance policies, family records, deeds, titles, contracts, stocks, bonds, jewelry, medals, rare collectibles, and irreplaceable photographs you do not need regularly.
